Wostok watches from the Tschistopol watch factory

Wostok "East" has developed into the largest Russian trade name ,and since 1961 it is the official watch for the Soviet Millitary.For it's 60th anniversary -a total of 5 different models has been made to celebrate the event-one each for the parachute,tank,marines,infantry divisions and one for the headquarter.By the end 0f the 60s , a famous "Komandirskie" (for commanders) "Generalskie" (for generals) and "Admiralskie" (for admirals) watches has been issued.Wostok watches is well-known for the reliability and toughness.Famous calibers such as 2209,2414,2409,2416,2609 is often being collected by the Germans and most of the Europeans.All watches for millitary purposes are marked with "3AKA3 MO CCCP" ( by order of the Ministry of Defense of USSR) .During 60s and 70s "Komandirskie" watches could only be purchased in special authorised store in Soviet Union and only reserved for millitary officers.The buyers have to indentify himself by uniform or millitary pass before buying the watches.Each Soviet town had stores catered exclusively to the millitary.This is the uniqueness of the USSR watches!
